The New Home of Broadway’s Amazing Grace
Grace is much more than a quick prayer said before meals. Grace is at the heart of all that holds us together and It is the only reliable way to heal broken relationships, between God and humanity, between individuals and other individuals, and, on a deeper level, between human beings and themselves.
Sadly, grace (often defined as a gift that could never be earned and never repaid) is seldom seen in a world of blame, division, and accusation. Let’s change that. Our team at The Grace Project is committed to telling stories that show the transformative power of grace in individual lives, communities, and the world. We do this through.
The world‘s first true story of spiritual redemption on Broadway… ever.
Massive concert experiences that pull together people from different cultures and different continents to join voices in praise to God
Audio drama performances that bring stories of Grace as close and personal as your earbuds.
Grace is a movement within hearts and within the culture. From entertainment to education, we are working to bring back the foundational principle that started it all… Grace.

Our Founder
Christopher G. Smith
Christopher G. Smith, Broadway composer and playwright of Amazing Grace, inspires and challenges audiences of all ages to break the confines of their ordinary lives and discover purpose and gifts they never knew they had. Christopher (a former police officer and youth director) was inspired to become the first writer/creator ever to tell a true story of faith and redemption on the Broadway stage.
He began with no training, no professional experience, no funding, and no connections in the entertainment industry. Christopher conceived the concept, and wrote the music, lyrics, and libretto of this epic musical saga about the life of slave-trader-turned-abolitionist, John Newton, the writer of the world’s most loved song, Amazing Grace. The show premiered on Broadway in 2015.
Christopher's personal journey has been featured on: ABC Evening News, NBC News, Trinity Broadcasting, NPR Radio, and was featured in stories in the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Guideposts, and Billboard Magazine, among others.
